School History
Our School was established in 2001, which was the 14th Kindergarten operated by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Mr. Senta Wong, BBS, Chairman of the Board of Directors (2000/01), generously donated to the School for its establishment and facilities. The Board of Directors therefore named our School “TWGHs Wong Wu Lai Ming Kindergarten” to pay tribute to his wife, Mrs. Wong Wu Lai Ming.
The School occupies a space of approximately 586 square meters. It is well equipped with 6 classrooms, indoor playground, English Room, AV room, multimedia room, reading corner, indoor and outdoor greenery area, medical room and parent resource centre. Each room is equipped with computers, projectors and audio/video systems.
The Board of Directors from Tung Wah Group of Hospitals annually grants funding to our School for renovations and purchasing new equipment to facilitate modernization and enhanced teaching.
Our school is committed to promoting the holistic development of children, with a focus on their well-being. We willingly take on the responsibility of protection and care by establishing a ”Child Safeguarding Policy”, measures, a code of conduct for staff, and procedures to maintain a nurturing environment for children, providing safe environments and facilities. At the same time, our school actively promotes child protection information, encouraging all individuals involved in caring for children (including parents, stepparents, foster parents, guardians, and caregivers) to work together to ensure that every child enjoys the right to protection from all forms of abuse, harm, and exploitation. This guarantees that children receive safeguarding and security, further promoting their rights, welfare, and development.
